What is the “in memory of” stone on Glenbrook House in Frenchay Hill?
At one time this was a shop, called Glenbrook Stores. The proprietor, Freddie Flatman wanted to attract customers and inserted this stone and the broken pieces of pottery on the wall. The stone is an apprentice practice piece which was dug up in a nearby garden.
